‘The times, they are a changin’!
We have just been through a year like no other and certainly much of 2021 will be very different as well. One of the things the pandemic has done is accelerate business and social changes which were going to happen anyway. The move to online shopping has risen and there is a greater understanding of our responsibility to protect the environment.
One of the greatest changes is the move to home working. Once seen as a bit of a ‘soft option’ to not going to the office, it has now become the norm. There is an increasing demand for rural properties and those with a home office. In the last business I worked for, when they opened a new office, it deliberately had fewer workstations than they had employees! This will also influence office rentals, and tens of thousands of people will no longer take the commute into a City Centre.
So, what has stepped up to fill the gap? Most of us seem to be spending our lives on Zoom or Teams (other video calling methods are available!). It felt like a bit of a novelty at first, but now I’m sure most of us yearn for a face-to-face meeting over a coffee!
The real question though is how well does this form of meeting works for you? How well do you come over? Are you able to create rapport? Most importantly, are you getting the business you want? If, not then read on!
To make Teams and Zoom work for you, you need to do three things.
Remove the distractions, so people focus on you and your message, not anything else.
Create rapport, so you can get people interested in you and your product or service and ready to buy from you.
Close the sale, when the time is right, to get the business you want.
Having seen and heard very few examples of people doing all three well, STEVEN MADELEY one of our associates decided to devise a course which covers all you need to know!
During the session you will go through how to minimise your distractions, how to create rapport so that people believe you really understand them, as well as how to close the sale, a skill which is very necessary in today’s business environment.
You will not be surprised to learn that the course is held on Zoom, lasts two hours (with a break!) and is designed for no more than 6 people at a time so that you can learn in a small group. This is a great opportunity to gain skills that will make Teams and Zoom work for you in 2021!
